Whisper from Carnival of Carnivorous Clowns From Outer Space:

Haunt was canceled today; found out by reading a post on TPA, then checked Knott's web site and even went as far as to call them.  Eventually, they called me as well, to inform me that they were closed tonight, "due to inclement weather."

Well, damn.  I was all ready for Haunt tonight!  Got new duct tape and some warm clothes, even!  But, last night there was a LOT of wind and quite a bit of rain.  I would imagine some of the mazes are in bad shape.

Oh well.  Tomorrow is another day...

Whisper from The Asylum:

Wow.  That's all I can say.  No Haunt tonight.

I was so anxious to go and then I get a call saying it's been cancelled.   I usually like the rain, but not when it gets in the way of Haunt.   I hope it stops by tomorrow.

Whisper from Malice in Wunderland:

Umm... so they canceled Haunt tonight.  That has never been done in like 30 years.

I took my night off to go see a movie with a certain street monster I am fond of.  Loved Team America.

Tomorrow we go back into the veil of the fog.

Whisper from Hatchet High:

Just got a call from Knott’s.  Haunt is cancelled!  How weird.  I don’t know if this has ever happened.

I’m kinda bummed, because I have nothing else to do and was feeling pumped up about Haunt tonight.  Oh well; it’s an extra day off, which I will make the most of.  Perhaps a trip to Disney in the rain will be fun.

Stay dry...

Whisper from TerrorVision:

Sorry, no entry tonight.  I'm still too sick to work, even with the rain-out night off on Wednesday.

I'm disappointed that I have to miss a night, but all I would do is cough and risk getting my fellow monsters (or guests) sick.  We will resume our regularly scheduled Whispers broadcast Friday night.  Until then, signing and sneezing off...

Whisper from The Swamp:

What a weird crowd tonight.  It was like a rainbow of guests (no, not in that way).  It was a total toss-up when going to scare a guest tonight.  I think it had a lot to do with the guests who were happy to be in the park tonight, and the people who were pissed-off about last night's cancellation and came tonight, instead.  Trust me - it was straaaaange.

The ground, surprisingly, was good to slide on.  Usually, after a good rain, all the dirt and wax we slide on is washed away and our slides are not as fast as we'd like them.  That was not the case tonight, and every slide was a good one.  Even the one where I rolled over once and still ended the slide perfectly!

I also had a first tonight.  I scared some girl who immediately said "mommy!"  It was weird, 'cause this girl was actually scared and she had to be about 19 or 20.  Time to grow up, there.

I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to be a lot better than tonight.   No, tonight wasn't terrible, but it could have been a whole lot better (just like the movie Alien vs. Predator).

Sweet dreams.

Whisper from The Asylum:

It was a pretty slow night tonight.  Smaller crowds usually mean more room to play around and try new things though, so it's not always bad.

I don't have too much to say; it was an uneventful night.  Sorry, I'll definitley have more to say tommorow.

Whisper from Malice in Wunderland:

Really slow night, considering people could have brought their tickets in from last night.  Anyway... pretty good night.

One of our blackouts keeps turning up the fog in our maze, 'cause he says it is scary.  It isn't scary though; it's dangerous.  People were walking into walls last night!

The night continued to improve though, and by the end of the night, I was no longer the bitter little monster I was last week, post-injury and rain.

My finger looks like it was in a car accident, now that I have no nail at all.  No matter; the rest of Haunt is going to kick ass.  I can tell.

Goodbye for now from your little green-haired friend!

Whisper from Hatchet High:

Tonight started off rather slow, but picked up nicely and was lots of fun.

I felt kinda sleepy early on, but got better after some Haunt fans delivered me some Pixie Stix and an energy drink (thank you)!

Some slight changes in my costume had me excited.  It kept everything nice and positive for me all night.

It didn’t rain!

Not much to report really.  Nothing out of the ordinary happened.   Had some great scares, but nothing really worth mentioning.  So, I’ll close this for now... see you tomorrow!

Whisper from CarnEVIL:

Well, the rain has come and gone and washed off the Farm.

Tonight is one them nights that just gives me a bad feeling.  Sure enough, the crowd was rough.  Speedy was knocked over and the guys ran into the Hanging crowd.  Drunk and under-aged seemed to be the guests tonight.

Scaring was good, but could have been better; seems the bad weather is still with us in the guests.

My feet are nearly healed, and I personally feel good.  The job is rough, but I love it.

You know how they say there is one moron in every crowd?  Well, tonight I found six in one group.  My mouth is gonna get me in trouble someday; I know it.  But not tonight, it seems.

Anyway, sorry so short, but really nothing great happened tonight.

Whisper from Jaguar - Temple of Sacrifice:

Tonight was slow, but not unbearable at all.  I had some great scares.

We have one monster in our maze that is driving me absolutely insane.   All she does is sit and tap her shaker can against the wall.  She refuses to scare!  *GROWL*

My mask is about to rip.  Friday night will be the night that it happens.  The bridge of the nose is being held together by a strand - a VERY thin strand at that.

I have perfected the art of scooting my mask upward on my face so that I can still have my eyes somewhat open when I act like a statue.  At just the right angle, I can look down through one of my nostril holes.   It works wonderfully!  I will be sad when my mask breaks; I will find some way to mend it.  I don't want one of the generic masks that everyone else in my maze has.  Note to self: Hot glue the nose when I get to P on Friday.

Something else I have realized is that I don't even have to close my eyes to fool people into thinking that I am a mannequin.  Although, the fog makes is quite difficult to not blink.

I tried to get guests to give me stuffed animals again tonight.  They all resisted.  Boo.

Another note to self: Do not eat the chicken tenders again.  They keep making me sick.

Whisper from Carnival of Carnivorous Clowns From Outer Space:

A good day.

Plenty of scares; good scares, too!

It was busy for a Thursday, but I imagine all the Wednesday people came tonight.

Either it is because I am feeling better, or because of the crowd, but the scares came SO easily tonight.

We also got out C3 shirts tonight, so I can now wear it proudly at Warehouse P!  I got one for my little one, who came through my maze tonight; it was her first Haunt, so I personally walked her through.

Tomorrow will be tough though; that extra hour is a killer sometimes, but I can't wait.  I really missed Haunt on Wednesday.

I didn't really realize it at first, but when I came to pick up my costume, I realized that I had really missed Haunt.

Whisper from Red Moon Massacre:

Well, after Haunt being cancelled due to rain, I am well-rested and ready to go.

I am still not feeling 100%.  I still feel some pain, but adrenaline kicks in and I have little pain until the end of the night.

WE have lost quite a few talent.  I think we have gone through at least 10 people.  We have replaced almost all of them at this point.

The night itself was pretty slow.  Little Red and I were able to get some really nice scares.  At one point in the night, our ride broke down.  We were down for almost two hours.  Once we got the ride operational again, they had all of the monster ride through to make sure the ride was working properly.  Of course, somehow everyone in our log got soaked... some pretty badly!

At the end of the night, a lot of us were talking about how hard it was to get back into the swing of things.  The shut down really broke our momentum.  I hope we will be shut down-free tomorrow night...

'night everyone!

Whisper from Blood Bayou:

Tonight started off good.  I was greeted by our AHAB (Annual Haunt Awards Banquet) leader with tickets to sell.  I sold one tonight; that is not the best, but it will do for tonight.  It is going to be a little difficult to convince people to pay an extra $10.00 from what tickets normally cost, but they have to understand that every year we have a breakfast buffet - cheap and easy; not all that great.  This year, we are doing the banquet the week after, and it is going to be a dress-up event and we will have a three-course dinner served to us.  Guests have the choice between prime rib, chicken or vegetarian dinners; well worth the extra $10.00, if you ask me, and this will not be a late-night event like in the past.  It is going to start at 7:00 p.m. and end at 1:00 a.m., so we have six hours of fun and dancing.

Tonight's crowd seemed as though they were more into a comedy show than being scared.  I had more fun this way also than I did trying to scare the few people that were scared.  I hope tomorrow will be a better night for scaring.

I have to shove off to bed; no need to bore you guys more that I have already tonight!  So, good night...

Whisper from Curse of the Spider:

Well, it is the day after the storm, and there is little or no damage to the maze.  At least none that is noticeable.  It was nice having Wednesday off.  You know what I did?  I slept.  Sleeping has become something that I crave; only four hours between Haunt and work.   I say Haunt, because not for a single day have I considered it work.

This maze was a blast tonight.  I wasn't really in the mood to be there, though.  It was with an extra day off, I think I got lazy.   But it didn't show inside the cave; we were dropping people left and right.  Some of these guys have so much energy in here, they are great.  But others - let me just say, they bug the hell out of me.

I get burned out with the same old scares sometimes along with the same old comments - "NOT A TURTLE!"  I need to try new stuff every night, especially tonight, 'cause it was still pretty slow and the people didn't seem very receptive.  When you scare the shit out of someone that doesn't want to be scared, you piss them off, and that's not too much fun in a confined space.

I had fun tonight and am going to bed, so good night.

Whisper from The Swamp:

It was a nuclear night for the first half of tonight.  Then, I got back from lunch, and the duck came on.  This making sense to you?   Good!

I was having a lot of fun with tonight's crowd.  It had a few jackasses in it, but every night has them.  It was actually a decent crowd.   It's always good when there aren't a bunch of f*ckholes in attendance.   Hopefully, tomorrow night will be just as good.

We're getting down to the home stretch, here.  Don't give up on me now!

*kisses*

Whisper from TerrorVision:

Still sick, but back to work tonight.  Took a while to get back into my scare rhythm, but I found the groove as soon as the crowds became nearly constant through the maze.  The endless strings of guests actually worked to my advantage because I physically couldn't move as much in my scares, so I played a lot of staring and intimidation games with guests, standing still and amping up the tension until I jolted them suddenly.  Different scares, but fun.

Unfortunately, it was a rough night for our TV crew in several ways: the worst by far, was due to an unruly guest - the sort which is a nightmare to any Haunt monster.  Sadly, I fear that no matter how this plays out, the talent involved is going to get screwed either way, which would be the height of injustice.  Several nearby talent offered to back up our friend's cause, so we can only hope they set the record straight.   All your monster friends are behind you 100%, pal!

Sorry to end on a sour note, but: Haunt-goers, we enjoy having you come visit us for some good-natured terror and screams.  Knott's may sign the check, but we know we work for you, and most of you appreciate the relationship.  But if you or someone *in your charge* cannot behave responsibly and safely at this public event, DO NOT BUY YOUR HAUNT TICKET - PLEASE STAY HOME!  If an adult guardian can't keep a tighter reign on a teen in their custody, both the kid and the guardian simply have no business attending Haunt.  As evidenced tonight, such irresponsible people ruin Haunt for everyone, guests and monsters alike.

If you can't live up to the standards of conduct posted at the park and printed on your ticket, give it to someone who can act like a human being.   It will be the best thing you've done for the world all month.

When a guest is scarier than any monster can be, a new low has been reached.   I've had enough for tonight.  Peace.

Whisper from Red Moon Massacre:

Driving into work tonight, I saw a lot of signs saying, "Sorry, but tonight's event is sold out."  That was the hint that we were going to be busy.  Guess what?  We were!  We had to get dressed in costume quickly.  The main gates were opening at 6:10 p.m.  So we all scrambled, and got to where we had to be.

I had a lot of fun at two of my favorite spots... and no, I still won't tell you where they are yet!  Some of them were so good, I actually laughed out loud and they heard me.

Unfortunately, we had ANOTHER shut down.  This time it lasted almost three hours!  Once we finally got the ride running again, we were extremely busy.  It was almost too hard to scare, but Little Red and I did the best we could.

We took a LOT of pictures with guest.  All in all, I had a really fun night.  I am looking forward to Saturday night.  I will be looking for you!

Whisper from Carnival of Carnivorous Clowns From Outer Space:

Tonight, the scares came so easily.  The guests seemed to fall into two categories - "easy to scare" and "too cool to be scared."

The "too cool" people should just stay home, as they clearly don't get what Haunt is about; they are also the people that had to be thrown out all night.

But the easy to scare people were all smiles and screams.  Watching a guy literally fall on his butt and knock over two of his friends after I scared him, and have him get up and thank me is always good!

All in all, it was a good night.  It never slowed down, so neither did we!

Whisper from Jaguar - Temple of Sacrifice:

Although tonight was busy, it didn't really feel like it due to the lack of drama (thank goodness)!  The guests were more docile tonight than usual and therefore, thankfully, less violent as well.

I made a few people cry and embarrassed another.

A girl was being painstakingly obvious when she was flirting with my blackout.   So, in front of everyone, I began mocking her...

"OH, Schuyler, you're soooooooo cute."

She muttered some curses at me and proceeded through the line.  About three minutes later, she crossed in front of us again and began giggling at him.  So, I started poking fun again.  She muttered more curses, and left.

Went to Norm's after.  Yummy.

Whisper from The Asylum:

Another sold-out night.  That means 32,000 asshole guests.  Well, I guess they're not all assholes, but it seems like that sometimes.

I got a lot of good sliding in tonight.  I spent most of my time working the line.  I gotta give them a little taste of what's inside.

Not much else to say other than that.

Whisper from Blood Bayou:

My back is a little sore today.  I did not go to my regular job.   I woke up at about 4:15 a.m. and I was in pain, so I took a Soma and went back to sleep.  When I woke to see that it was already 10 after 8:00 in the morning and I am to be at work at 7:30 a.m., I called and told them I was not coming in to work.  I felt all high on my pills.  I did not want to show up to work like that; it is just stupidity to do so.  I slept for a while and then I got up and around at about 1:30 p.m. and decided to go to Knott's a little sooner than normal, but my carpool buddy took forever to get to my house, so I didn't even get there until normal time.

Guests were in a frisky mood tonight and I did not like it.  I got pushed around more tonight than I have the last three weeks put together.   I just wanted tonight to end.

I am going to go and get so drunk that I can't see straight and then I am going to pass out so nobody can wake me until tomorrow afternoon; wait, I mean this afternoon (cursing the sunrise).

Good night, all...

Whisper from Curse of the Spider:

Packed night number one - sold-out, or over-sold.  I was definitely in the mood tonight, although it was a blur.  It went by really fast tonight.

I'll have to admit, I tried to walk over to the Lakeside break room, but turned around when I saw the crowd.  I couldn't be a guest on a weekend; I guess you can say I don't like crowded areas that much.  Considering I'm in a small hallway in a crowded maze, it shouldn't bother me that much.

I started to push peoples' buttons tonight though, and I got hit once.   Whoops!  Ha ha!  He got kicked out!

I have to go to work early tomorrow, so I'm sorry - need sleep.  Not much to tell other than that.  Same old scares.  Wasn't as fun as other nights.

Tomorrow is gonna be rough - another "over-sold" night.

Whisper from Hatchet High:

Tonight was good.  I took a liking to chasing guests from the maze and into Ghost Town.

I had my best scare ever this evening; one for the record books - one that I’ll tell my grandchildren about.  I made a grown man pass out!  I really thought that he was just joking around at first.   Then I realized that his friends were panicking because he wasn’t getting up right away.  He eventually got up and the blackout checked on him; he was fine.  His friends said that he just got too scared.   I’m still waiting for the "try to be less scary" speech!

That pretty much made my night.  I don’t see anything topping that for a long time!

Whisper from TerrorVision:

In our last episode of "As TerrorVision Turns," we ended on a depressing cliffhanger; so tonight, we open with good news: it seems justice will indeed, triumph for our fellow TV monster and the situation appears to be in good hands.  Hooray for our friend, and props all around to the people who stepped up and did the right thing (you know who you are).

This upbeat update started our Saturday night, raising spirits (as it were) and getting us off to a good start, which we put to work scaring the sold-out crowd.  Being pot luck night also added a bit of party atmosphere, and as usual, our TV dinners rocked.  Plenty of tasty monster fuel for us to run full-throttle all night long!

A severe lack of mobility is still the bane of my existence, so I relied totally on the new scare game I've been playing with guests.  I had a total blast with it!  Plus, if I pull off the gag correctly, I can scare six, 8, 10 people at a time (depending on how line control is packing them into our maze... at times I think they should rename it SardineVision).

I was happier with my scare results tonight than I've been in several days.  I'm still sick, and sound like death warmed over, but the screams put a devil's grin on my face... MONSTER LIKE!

Thankfully, the long shifts are over for this week - a nice short Sunday and it's a whopping one-day Haunt weekend before we hit the final stretch starting Tuesday.  At times, it felt like Haunt would never end, but now the finale and Halloween are coming up fast.  Seven scream-filled nights to go.  Bring it!

Whisper from The Swamp:

Tonight was a lousy night.  Lousy!  Lousy, lousy, lousy.

It was boring, then more boring.  The crowd was full of losers and whatever else.  Tonight blew.

Tomorrow is the magic show.  Come one, come all!

Whisper from Jaguar - Temple of Sacrifice:

Wow, tonight was absolutely PACKED!  Our line actually extended out from the roped areas and into Fiesta Village!

The scares were plentiful, the screams were loud and the tears were flowing.   A customer poked me in the right eye with the end of a cotton candy cone thing; it really hurt.  Now, I have a red scratch down the side of my right eyeball.

Two of the other monsters and I have begun teaming up on the "screamers."   I LOVE it when I can get a customer to crunch into a little ball in a corner.

I was groped again.

I didn't get hit at all tonight.  Minus the cotton candy thing - if that counts as hitting.

Went out to the roller-skating rink afterward.  Got home at 7:00 a.m.  Am now very, very tired.

Whisper from The Asylum:

Tonight was once again sold-out.  It was a little better than last night though.

I got a lot of really good scares.  I did a lot of sliding tonight; more than I should have, because I burned a hole right through my toe cap, so I wasn't able to slide the last hour of the night.

There were a lot of guests tonight that acted completely unamused.  I don't know why they pay $48.00 to go to Haunt and act like tough-guys.   Can't they do that at home?

The fact that there's only one week left of Haunt has started to set in a few people, myself being one of them.  It's going by so fast; I don't want it to end yet.

Whisper from Blood Bayou:

It is now Saturday night and I am having a great night!  The guests are scared, the crowd is laughing and our captains are happy; what more could you ask for?  From Knott's, that is.

Tonight when the yellow shirts walked through our maze to grade us for the night, they were happy.  In my eyes, we did a great job, but we were short some people in our maze, which hindered our score.  But low score or high score - it doesn't matter to me, as long as all our people have fun and enjoy their environment.

When I walk out of the maze at closing and see my fellow Bayou dwellers with a smile talking about how great the night went, then you know it was a successful night.

Until tomorrow...

Whisper from Red Moon Massacre:

Well, here it is; another sold-out Saturday night.  As I was driving in, I saw a lot of people starting their walk to the Haunt.  Once again, we were told they would be dropping the chains early.  All of us had to be ready by 6:10 p.m.  We heard they were dropping the chains, and all of us ran to our positions.

I have a little routine I go through.  I make various stops in my hiding places and try them out.  I also want to see what kind of crowds we are going to have.  After being in three of them, things started to look pretty good.  I got a lot of screams and yells and even people jumping in the air and then running off.

Unfortunately, at around 8:00 p.m., our ride broke down AGAIN; this time, for almost three hours.  Once they got it up and running again, everyone had lost their momentum.  I don't think we ever got it back up to speed.  I know for me it was pretty hard to get back up to par.

We had our various problems throughout the night, but it was still fun and we all went home tired and exhausted.

Whisper from Curse of the Spider:

Saturday, Saturday, Crapperday.  Bad night.  Within the first two hours, I got hit twice in the face and got kicked in the leg; almost hit the prized family jewels.  It was definitely a long, rough night.   To top it off, I found out for sure that a friend had quit Haunt.   It is a bummer; I know how much fun she had doing it.

I'm going to complain some more.  "Why the hell is my costume choking me?"  I ate a burger that I got from Carl's Jr. and my costume kept choking me after that, damnit.

I'm not too happy with tonight.  The best thing that happened was on my way, I went by that earlier-mentioned fast food place and they took forever to make two sandwiches.  Seriously, I listened to two CDs while in the drive-thru.  When I got up to the window, they screwed up my order, so they fixed my order and gave me like 10 pounds in burgers to make up for it.  It was cool; thanks minimum wage - you made me and one other monster very full for two dollars!

That wasn't really about Haunt, was it?

Oh well, I'm tired!  leave me alone!  I've got work in three hours.

Good night.  See you tomorrow.  I hope it will be better.

Whisper from Hatchet High:

This has been the best weekend for me so far.  Yesterday obviously rocked, and tonight was just as good.  The crowds were really into it and super-easy to scare.  Our line stretched all the way to Malice again, but crowd control was doing a bang-up job and kept the groups flowing at a good pace.  Good job, guys!

We unfortunately, lost a few more monsters.  One cheerleader and one prom queen decided that this job isn’t for them.  They will be missed.

Time for a little bit of a rant.  Why do some people even take a job as a monster?  I see so many monsters that clearly aren’t at Scary Farm to scare, and treat it as a social event.  They go to First Aid on a nightly basis for minor problems, are always late and when they are there, you still won’t find them inside the mazes.  That’s annoying.

Whisper from Carnival of Carnivorous Clowns From Outer Space:

Busy night as expected.

The highlight of the night was scaring a large guest and watching him fall flat on his back and giggle like a 12 year-old girl!

Lots of attitudes tonight and really angry pushy guests.

So here is a public service message from the monsters of Halloween Haunt:

1) Don't come to Haunt drunk; they have a beer garden.  Enjoy it, but don't get wasted.

2) Don't come to Haunt expecting to show how bad-assed you are by confronting monsters.

3) Don't attempt to smoke weed in a maze; the Buena Park P.D. will be your ride that evening.

4) Don't take a poke at a monster because he "scared you."   That's the point.

5) Don't attempt to scare the monsters; you won't, and you will look silly in front of your friends when the monster turns it around and scares you.

This message brought to you by the monsters of Halloween Haunt.

Whisper from The Swamp:

MAGIC!

Yeah, the magic show was once again tonight.  It went off rather well, especially my actual magic trick which was a mind-blower, even to the monsters who saw it.  All in all, that was the best part of the night.

Other than that, it was dead.  I was so damn tired that I was more of the ho-hum talker, tonight.  Thankfully, people were enjoying the comic relief.

Tonight was also the first night I didn't slide; not once!  That just goes to show how tired I was.

The final run is coming up, and I'll be ready to rock and roll every night.   See you there!

Whisper from The Asylum:

Four weeks down and one to go.  I can't believe they went that fast.

Tonight was noticeably the end of the week.  We were all tired and sore.  We didn't let the guests see that , though.  No matter how tired we are, we always try to the give the guests a good show.

I watched this show before I left today about an abandoned asylum and I got a little inspiration from that.  I actually stayed in my room most of the night and developed some new techniques; most worked pretty well.

Well, I'm off to bed.  I need the sleep, since we only have Monday off.  Next week is going to be crazy.

Whisper from TerrorVision:

The triumphant return of our monster friend started tonight off on another high note, and we were all very glad to have him back.  Nothing TV likes more than a happy ending!

Otherwise, a slow Sunday night, though I suppose we should enjoy it while we can because Haunt will only get busier next week.  Tough to get scare rhythms going with sporadic groups bunching up through the maze, then minutes of empty boredom between.

Not the most enthusiastic guests tonight, but they're better than the bizarre trouble-maker that started off our night, smacking no less than six of us before the nut job got tossed out of the park.  Nothing a monster can do but shake our heads in disbelief and carry on with business.

Soon, TerrorVision begins its final run of new episodes for the 2004 season.   One short day to relax, recover and heal as much as possible.  Must sleep.  We now end our week four broadcast.

See you Tuesday: same Bat time, same Bat channel.  Peace.

Whisper from Blood Bayou:

Tonight, I have nothing good to say.  Take everything I said last night, and throw it away.

Tonight, when the yellow shirts came through the maze, me and 13 others were in there.  Why only 14 of us?  I'll tell you why.  Because we have some people that think they are better than the rest of us, or think this is high school.  They run around all night playing "Who's Got More Drama to Throw at the Other?"

That aside, lets talk about commitment.  We all hired in at the same place - the EMPLOYMENT center, which means this is a job.  For most of us, it is a paid hobby.  For some, it is an excuse to get their parents off their backs about work.  Others are here just to meet people.

Well guess what?  For those of us that are here because we want to be here, you are ruining our fun; so turn in your ID card and GO THE F*CK HOME!  We don't want you here!

We had a meeting tonight after the maze closed.  Our captain had a few choice words for those 30 people that were all on break at the same time.  Even one of our monsters that was on break at that time and just about all the time had some words for those slackers.

Okay, if you guys remember back to the first night, I told you all about a person who talked about making a guest throw up.  I said to you that this person has to be a moron talking about something that didn't happen in front of people that were in the maze with her at the time of the alleged puking.  Well, tonight she topped herself by telling everyone she was sick and tired of picking up the slack of people being on break all the time.  Well, everyone knows that she is never in the maze; so - next time you want to talk about slacking then give the speech to the mirror honey, because nobody wants to hear you anymore!   Even the deaf girl in our maze wrote for our captain to read out loud, "Why are you talking?  You are never in the maze!  Shut up!"  Now come on folks; if a person that can't even hear what is going on can see who should and should not speak up, what does that tell you?

Good night.  I have to rest.  We only have one day off this week...

Whisper from Red Moon Massacre:

After picking up my costume, Little Red, a Hell Hound and I hung out and watched everyone getting ready for tonight.  As I sat and looked around, I noticed that a lot of people are starting to get tired and run-down.   More and more, monsters are getting sick.  I did still see the enthusiasm though.

I do think this "point" system that management put into place is taking its toll.  I was listening to people around me saying things like, "We're not doing well.  Why try?"

"There's no way to catch up.  Why try?"

I don't like hearing things like that.  We should always be giving 110%.  Plus, Little Red suggested that maybe the General Manager should address the new rookies that have joined us.  Since that meeting, we have had a lot of people drop and brought several rookies onboard.   They were not there to hear him speak.

Maybe it's just me, but I think I am starting to see the downfall of this "point system."

We did make it through the night with no shut-downs.  The crowds tonight were a little rough.  I had coins, plastic bottles and candy thrown at me.  People tried to pull off my mask and some even tried to hit me.  Thanks to the people in line control and the candy carts for watching us out there!

As the night came to an end, everyone was pretty tired and ready to go home and rest up for HELL WEEK!

See you in the fog!

Whisper from Curse of the Spider:

Sunday, Sunday, Funday.  Tonight was great!  I really needed that after the two stinkers that I just had.  I scared the crap out of everyone up until about 11:30 p.m. when I got bored and started talking to guests.  I was working with one other guy, who I must say is really good in the spot that he is usually in.  I couldn't scare from there.   But anyway, I was talking to people and would make them laugh by being the stinker that I am.  I made a farting noise in their faces and then said I was a barking spider.  Ha!  Then I would say, "Look over there!" or, "Hey, wanna win a prize?  Scare the crap out of people!"  It was the fastest hour and a half I can remember right now.  I needed that; I was getting really bored.

I don't have work in the morning, so I'm going to sleep until I wake up (uh, well, no shit).  I mean I'm not going to set my alarm.  You know, people say you're not crazy if you talk to yourself; only when you start answering yourself.  I think I am almost there!  Luckily, October is 31 days; if it was 30, I wouldn't have started answering myself yet - but now I'll need to stay in the Asylum for a while.

Okay, good night.  Maybe I can sleep 'till Tuesday.  I'll tell my wife to just hit me over the head if I start to wake up!  And again, good night.  Great night.  Wooooooh, I'm Scary!  Look over there!  Call everyone that looks like me a Turtle - they love that!  I'm a fly, but they are turtles...

Whisper from Jaguar - Temple of Sacrifice:

Only one week left, and I can hardly believe it!

My ankle is STILL sore from last week, and my eye is still scratched from that damn cotton candy cone.

I got a TON of guests to give me bracelets tonight.  It is awesome!  I plan on getting a lot more before Haunt is over.

I got punched in my other eye from a girl I scared.

I was fondled - more than once - by a drunken woman who kept shouting, "You have a great ass, come back here!" or something similar to that.

We went to Norm's afterward and had SO much fun.

Whisper from Hatchet High:

My days are melting together again.  Went roller skating last night and didn’t get in until 8:30 this morning.  I only slept for a few hours, but feel like I hadn’t at all.  Because of this, my night kinda sucked.  I just couldn’t get going, no matter how much I tried.

The fact that Haunt is ending is really starting to set in.  I’m trying to absorb every memory that I can now.  I will definitely be making the most out of next week.  Even though I will be tired and sore, I wanna go out with a bang.

Whisper from Carnival of Carnivorous Clowns From Outer Space:

Bad night tonight.

In an incident with a guest, I injured my right hand and it became quite swollen and bruised.

Because of this, I had to take it really easy all night and basically acted as a distraction for other monsters.

Sorry for the short post, but the hand is unhappy.
