Special Thanks

A lot of effort goes in to producing our annual Halloween Haunt coverage.  There is simply no way that we could accomplish any of this without the full support of the great people at Knott's Berry Farm and Cedar Fair.

First and foremost, we extend our deepest thanks to our Haunt family - the men and women that make up the Scary Farm crew.  While there are far too many to name individually, you all know who you are - and we love you all so very much.  You're the best group of people in the world and the privilege is completely ours to come in to your world and be accepted.  You are our family, and we're blessed by you each and every day.

We also know that without the support of our readers - the greatest Haunt fans anywhere - there would be no reason for Theme Park Adventure to do this in the first place.  It's awesome that you all share our love for this event and that you enjoy our in-depth coverage of the Haunt.  Our readers are the best in the world - we love sharing our adventure each year with each of you.

Knott's management and support staff have been completely instrumental in our 2005 coverage, making it the best ever for our readers.  In no particular order, we'd like to acknowledge Adam Hankinson, Jeff Tucker, Rob Perez and Ken Parks.  These guys work their asses off behind-the-scenes and while most park guests may never know them, we do - and we know that they are a huge part of Halloween Haunt's success.

Our hats are also off to Knott's Berry Farm's Marketing team - they are troopers and good sports, handling about a billion and a half phone calls and emails from Rick West throughout the year!  You're the best and it is a constant pleasure working with you.

In the same breath, we need to acknowledge our newest friend at Knott's - Michele Wischmeyer - who heads the Marketing team that is our support and lifeline to Halloween Haunt.

In 2005 just prior to Halloween Haunt, our long-time friend Susan Tierney-Dust was let go from Knott's Berry Farm's Marketing helm in an unexpected round of layoffs.  It was a huge blow to us and the future of Theme Park Adventure's Haunt coverage hung in doubt.  Stepping in to Susan's position was Michele - someone we didn't know at the time.

Michele not only hit the ground running with TPA, she embraced us and our readers completely and has opened so many new doors for us that it's difficult to express our gratitude without gushing for pages about how awesome she is.  Our partnership with Michele has been the biggest surprise and has turned out better than we could have ever hoped for.  She is fantastic and we are honored to have the opportunity to worth with her and the rest of her staff.

Knott's management has always been supportive of Theme Park Adventure and for that, we are extremely grateful.  We extend our sincere thanks to Charles Bradshaw, Gregg Picon and Raffi Kaprelyan.  They and the rest of the Knott's management team are our friends and we strive each season to do them proud.

Aaron Saliba at the Knott's Berry Farm Resort Hotel is always more than kind to us and welcomes TPA (and all of the accompanying madness that goes on throughout the night) each year.  For a week, the hotel becomes our home, command center, party pad and general Room-O-Doom.  We appreciate the hotel's cooperation and friendship.  The staff is awesome and we look forward to our stay each October.

One member of the management team that truly is Halloween Haunt is our friend Craig Harreld.  Craig is a legend amongst Haunt legends, loved and respected by colleagues both new and old.  He's been there, done that when it comes to being a street monster at the Scary Farm and now he oversees all of them, ensuring a safe and unrivaled experience.  Craig's knowledge and understanding of Haunt is awesome - and it is always a personal thrill when we are fortunate enough to spend time with him.

We completely believe that Craig is one of the driving forces behind Halloween Haunt that makes this event second-to-none.  He is a cornerstone of the event and is loved by all.

Kevin Horton is our VIP guide each season at Knott's and he's become a close personal friend; a family member, really.  Kevin's love of Haunt and his unwavering support of Theme Park Adventure is awesome - and it is our luck to have Kevin on our team.  Each year, we look forward to Kevin leading our cameras into the darkness so that we might bring Haunt home to fans around the world.

At this point, we extend our thanks and appreciation to all Knott's employees who make Halloween Haunt such an awesome event.  Sweepers, merch cart folks, ride operators, Line Control personnel, security guards, parking lot, foods... each and every one of you should be proud of Halloween Haunt and you should all be congratulated for staying up late with us each night so we can play in the fog while you all work.  Props to you all.

Last, but certainly not least, we thank our friend Jack Falfas.  Jack's support and never-ending enthusiasm for Halloween Haunt and our coverage means the world to us.  We know how much Jack cares about the Haunt and the Haunt family.  He's not your ordinary executive - he mingles, he picks up trash as he walks through the park, he talks to guests and he really takes the time to watch and appreciate his employees.  Well, those employees and many of us fans appreciate Jack and know that his fondness of the Scary Farm is one of the main reasons it now gets bigger and better each October.  Knott's Scary Farm is fortunate to have Jack Falfas.  TPA is more than fortunate to have Jack's friendship.

With that, we bring our 2005 coverage of Knott's Halloween Haunt to a formal close.  It was an amazing year at the Scary Farm and we once again, were honored to bring it all to you bigger and better than anyone else on the Internet.  As usual, our coverage extended way longer than we anticipated - this time, we blame it on our re-locating to Las Vegas from San Francisco; that kind of thing tends to slow down any project!  However, this is the finish line and we're glad to be here - although we will still be playing catch-up with the 2005 videos as we launch into the 2006 season.

So out with the old, in with the new... are you ready to venture into the darkness once again, kids?
