Screamy Awards 2005

October lives and breathes in Buena Park, California.  This is something that the world has come to realize over the past three decades, without a doubt.  There is no other "ground zero" when it comes to scare events; no one can touch Knott's Halloween Haunt.

Theme Park Adventure has become a looking glass for the world to peer into the darkness that is our beloved Scary Farm.  And literally, the world does look.  TPA's coverage of Halloween Haunt attracts nearly 40,000 visitors just in October (our coverage lasts months past the end of the event) from the United States, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Egypt, France, Italy, Norway and China, to name a few countries.  For us, it is almost too great to comprehend.  And once we do sit back and think about it - we realize what an important tradition our coverage has become and what a tremendous responsibility we have to Knott's and the Haunt family as a whole.

We decided several years ago to begin showcasing the "best of the best" each season at Haunt.  Thus, we created the Screamy Awards.  These awards allow Theme Park Adventure to single out and shine a spotlight on certain individuals or aspects of Knott's Scary Farm that we feel the world should take special notice of.

These Screamy Awards have become a part of the Haunt's annual season-end awards ceremony, where the men and women of Knott's Scary Farm come together for one night to celebrate what has been accomplished and to commend their own.  Being a part of this "behind-the-screams" event is a tremendous pleasure for us.

Broadband users (most of the world is now broadband, hopefully) will be delighted by this video; those using dial-up... well... smoke 'em if you've got 'em.  This file is no joke to download, but it is definitely worth the wait.

To keep the integrity of the Screamy Awards and to maintain the element of surprise, no other description of this video will be discussed; it must be viewed to be appreciated.

We congratulate our 2005 winners and want to reiterate that we feel that everyone at Halloween Haunt is special.  The entire family is what makes the Scary Farm the most unique and amazing Halloween event in the world.  Money cannot buy what Haunt is.  With that said, the true winners each year are the fans... what a lucky bunch of kids we all are to be treated to such a phenomenal spectacle.

All of Theme Park Adventure's video files are now distributed via BitTorrent, a free file-sharing program that you will need to download from BitTorrent.com before proceeding to download the following videos.  BitTorrent is a very simple, very powerful tool that allows TPA readers to share in the distribution of our video files to other fans around the world at no cost.  We do ask that after you have downloaded and installed BitTorrent that you download as many TPA videos as you'd like.  In return, the only request we have is that you allow BitTorrent to run in the background on your system indefinitely so that others may pull the TPA videos quickly and easily, as you have.  This is how the distribution of our files remains free and is not a burden on our server.

NOTE: When you initially download BitTorrent, please go into View - Settings - Seeding; make sure that all boxes are checked so that you will continue to "seed" each file indefinitely.  If you already have BitTorrent, please make sure your settings are selected this way as well.

BitTorrent does not currently minimize to your system tray when in operation - but that feature is coming very shortly.  Please be patient until then; your participation and enthusiasm for TPA's use of BitTorrent to distribute our content is much appreciated by our crew and your fellow fans.

Any additional questions should be referred to the BitTorrent FAQ page by clicking here.  Theme Park Adventure file content will not download properly without the use of BitTorrent.
