Paramount's Kings Dominion gets Ready for Things That go Bump in the Night Theme Park Launches All New FearFest Website Doswell, VA - The air is becoming crisper and the days are getting shorter - and Paramount's Kings Dominion is gearing up for its largest and scariest FearFest ever. In its fifth year, FearFest is the park's annual Halloween-themed event. With everything from treats for children to tricks for the bravest adult, FearFest has quickly become the coolest reason to welcome fall. In anticipation of this year's all-new haunted mazes, scare zones and terror-filled activities, Paramount's Kings Dominion has launched the FearFest website, www.kingsdominion.com/fearfest. Filled with interactive elements and games, descriptions of this year's scare-filled storylines and the calendar of frightful days, the new site helps guests plan their spooktacular visit. "FearFest has grown in popularity since we introduced it to Kings Dominion," shared Bob Hohenstein, vice president, Paramount's Kings Dominion, "With the launch of this website, we are giving guests the opportunity to learn all about our FearFest activities and plan their visit." Just like FearFest, the event's website has two elements - fun for the kids, fear for the adults. Parents and children will enjoy navigating through Nick or Treat together and learning about all of the Halloween fun that awaits them. They can even "carve" their own jack-o-lantern, find hidden creatures and play the ghost maze game. FearFest fans and brave souls only will want to enter the other half of the site. Guests can bravely click through a tour of the haunted mansion that eerily tells the tale of this year's fright-filled mazes, terror-filled attractions and creepy scare zones. Each click of the mouse takes you deeper into the horrors - and maybe even on a zombie hunt. FearFest begins on Saturday, October 8, 2005 continues weekends through October 30. Operating hours are 10:30 a.m.-11:00 p.m. on Saturdays (October 8, 15, 22 and 29) and 10:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m. on Sundays (October 9, 16, 23 and 30). FearFest shows and attractions are free with general park admission or with a Season Pass. Some FearFest attractions are not appropriate for all ages. For more information about FearFest, guests can call Paramount's Kings Dominion at (804) 876-5000 or visit the park's web site at KingsDominion.com/fearfest. Paramount's Kings Dominion is located 20 miles north of Richmond, Va. and 75 miles south of Washington, D.C. off Interstate 95 at Exit 98. Paramount's Kings Dominion is a 400-acre theme park that's home to more than 200 rides, shows and attractions. The park brings the best of Hollywood entertainment to the Mid-Atlantic with one of the largest coaster collections on the East Coast; two children's areas-Nickelodeon Central and Kidzville; and WaterWorks, a 19-acre water park playground that's included with admission.
