Oklahoma Aquarium is now open! It's Fintastic!
Adults, $12.95; Youth (Ages 3 - 12), $8.95; Seniors & Military (ID required) $10.95 You won't believe what's in our water! Hundreds of exciting aquatic creatures to sea, some you can even touch! Giant sharks along with many other marvels and mysteries of the deep await you at the Oklahoma Aquarium. And, you're sure to get hooked on a visitor favorite, the Karl and Beverly White National Fishing Tackle Museum featuring a $4 million antique collection of sportsfishing's firsts. The Oklahoma Aquarium is already making a splash as Oklahoma's favorite destination. Some of our exhibits include: € Siegfried Shark Adventure - Walk through an acrylic tunnel and surround yourself with close to 500,000 gallons of water and a bunch of large sharks! If you are lucky, you might even see our bull sharks and lemon sharks on feeding days. € Bio-diversity - Life in the sea - From sponges to sea squirts, get an up close look at the boneless bunch of the marine environment. € Adaptations - Principles of Survival - One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. Fishes come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and habitats. Exhibits highlight special adaptations of fishes that allow them to survive! € Fishes of Oklahoma - With so much water in the state of Oklahoma, there are bound to be lots of fish! Our local fishes are just as important as those in the sea. Enjoy an up close look at some of our favorite catches and some state records. € Marvels and Mysteries of the Deep - From piranhas to seahorses, and everything in between, the Marvels and Mysteries of the Deep is the place to see some of the world¹s "oohs and ahhs" creatures! € Oceans Room - Between the rivers and our oceans lie very important interfaces: the coastal regions. Kelp forests, coral flats, sandy beaches, and rocky coasts are the highlight exhibits of the Oceans Room. € Coral Reefs - Here¹s your chance to learn more about what a reef REALLY is, what kinds of critters make reefs their homes, and how we all have an impact on these special habitats. € The Great Hall - This 5,000 square-foot entry to the Oklahoma Aquarium houses ticketing, a gift shop, the deli area, and traveling displays of all varieties! This Hall is also a great site for parties and other events! Don't miss the Karl & Beverly White National Fishing Tackle Museum - Over 20,000 pieces valued at more than $4 million make up the largest and most comprehensive antique fishing tackle collection in the world! Artifacts in this magnificent museum include the first gasoline outboard engine and the very first Skeeter Bass Boat! Also, the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) regional headquarters are located at the Oklahoma Aquarium, and visitors may purchase hunting and fishing licenses on site. ODWC focuses on the role of sport fishing, outdoor recreation, and conservation of local resources. And, our Education Wetlab facilities are used as Aquatic Resource Centers for school groups, university students, and Aquarium visitors. The WetLabs provide a hands-on learning experience, enabling visitors to participate in studies of the Arkansas River.
