Hatchet High

It's the rock, rock, rock, rock, rock 'n roll high school that we've all come to adore at Halloween Haunt - Hatchet High!

Making a very strong appearance this year at Haunt, Hatchet is by far, one of the best mazes that the 2004 Scary Farm has to offer.  With a high-energy crew, great theme and definitely one of the best soundtracks in Haunt history, Hatchet High is yet again high on the must-see list of any Knott's guest this season.

Hatchet High is located in Ghost Town in the old Wilderness Dance Hall, with its queue snaking through the White Water Wilderness toward The Boardwalk area of the Farm.  Regardless of the length of the line, everyone attending Haunt should see this maze; it's worth the wait, completely.

Hatchet High is just as strong in its second year as it was in 2003, when it made its debut at the Scary Farm.  Unfortunately, the maze is virtually the same as it was last year - which means that fans will notice no changes in layout.  However, that is the only gripe anyone could have with Hatchet.

In all aspects, Hatchet High is just about a perfect maze.  The guests love it, the length is perfect to keep a steady flow, it is always adequately staffed and the mix of humor and horror are working in sync.  From nerdy science class geeks to the hot-but-horrid prom queens, Hatchet High is a powerhouse that isn't going anywhere any time soon, as far as we know.

There's not much more to say, honestly.  We loved Hatchet High last year and we love it just as much this year.  Major props to everyone working this maze as well as its designers and those who maintain the maze's kick-ass '80s soundtrack.

If you haven't yet experienced Hatchet High in all its glory, you need to.  Fans returning to the halls of the high school feel like Sophomores returning to their familiar campus.  And we all hope that Hatchet is around long enough for us to all walk through its doors as proud seniors in the year 2006!  Great job, everyone!
