It's been years since Theme Park Adventure attended Knott's Halloween Haunt on Opening Night.  This year, the anticipation was too great and so at 3pm on September 27th, we rolled into the Warehouse P area with cameras in tow, snapping shots all the way.

As stated, we spent a great deal of time in Warehouse P, watching monsters get their make-up applied, costumes on and Haunt personalities in order.  The air was filled with electricity - excitement of First Night.  It's magical, really.  It had been too long since we'd been there to kick off Haunt with our family.  And seeing the happiness on everyone's face and listening to the laughter reminded me of how special this group is - and what an honorary spot we hold in getting to witness this amazing event unfold.

In addition, it is a huge deal for us that Knott's allows Theme Park Adventure to capture these private moments for our readers, the truest of the true Halloween Haunt fans out there.

In addition to spending a great deal of time in Warehouse P, we also spent time in the Boardwalk Ballroom where Cedar Fair executives and Knott's bosses welcomed contest winners and corporate VIP guests.  The mistress of ceremonies was TV's Ivonna Cadaver (think Elvira) and it was a fabulous dinner spread out for us.  Shrimp, booze and more shrimp... what more could we ask for?
